Extraordinary Ministers Needed for Care Center Visits

Every Thursday a group of QP people take the time to take turns carrying the Eucharist to residents at Westover and Golden Years. It is humbling to experience the gratitude of those residents. Sadly, our numbers have dwindled and we need help! If you are interested, you can accompany one of us a couple of times to see how things are done, and then decide if you would like to help. It requires a couple of hours a month. Although we typically go on Thursday mornings, that timing is flexible. If you even think you might be interested, contact Jack Geyer, 868-9771, or Celeste Baumgartner, 907-7254, email baumgartnerfarm2@msn.com. You’ll be glad you did!

Parish Blessings

The Young at Heart Group recently decided to design and purchase custom altar cloths. They purchased the lace and the Notre Dame Tabernacle Society donated the cloth and was able to create two altar cloths just in time for Easter. We thank both groups for their constant dedication to Queen of Peace.

A parishioner also recently made a donation to Queen of Peace Parish requesting that it be used to purchase new albs for our altar servers in memory of Al Heister. Al, who recently passed away, devoted much of his time to the parish, especially the altar server ministry.

Our parish continues to be blessed by its generous parishioners.

Notre Dame Tabernacle Society Needs Help

The Notre Dame Tabernacle Society, located in Hamilton, OH, celebrated its 75th Anniversary in 2017, serving priests in poor missionary parishes in Haiti, India, and countries in Africa. Our members sew vestments, make Rosaries, collect religious articles, and purchase Mass kits to help priests minister to their congregations. We are in need of additional seamstresses to assist in producing vestments for missionary priests. We have an extensive list of almost 40 priests waiting for a set of vestments. Almost a quarter of these are seminarians preparing for ordination this year. If you have a God given talent as a seamstress, please consider offering your gift to help our Society produce vestments to help priests spread the Gospel in some of the poorest areas of the world. We meet for three hours weekly on Tuesday afternoons, or materials can be provided for you to create vestments at your home. For additional information, view our website at NotreDameTabernacleSociety.org or contact Ann Boehm at ndts2009@yahoo.com or call 513-708-7163.

Divine Mercy and the Apostolate for the Dying

We have recently formed a new group in our parish called The Apostolate for the Dying who have made a commitment to pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy each day at/or as close as possible to, the 3 O’clock Hour of Mercy for those who are sick and who may die that day. If you know of anyone who needs our prayers, or if you would like to join us in this beautiful work of mercy, please contact Myrna Heister at myrna.heister@fioptics.com or leave a voicemail or send a text message to 562-0249. We are also willing to visit the bedside of anyone who is in need of prayer at the request of the family.

Can You Spend one Hour with God?

We have an URGENT need for people to come and spend an hour with Jesus on First Fridays. We have had several people become ill and are unable to continue with their Holy Hour. Please consider and make a commitment to take an hour on the First Friday of each month; it can change your life! Holy Hour times start 9-2pm. Call Shelly at 513-300-8574.

Choir Looking for Members

Do you have a desire to praise God through song? The Queen of Peace Choir would love to have you join them at 11:00am Mass each weekend. They practice before Mass each week. There is no experience necessary, no need to know how to read music or have any training. You’re guaranteed a seat at Christmas and Easter Masses!
